A 32-year-old guest teacher was arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl at her home, police said Monday. They added that the incident occurred in the village of Madan Hipparga in Aland Taluk in Karablaji District. Police said the girl filed a complaint alleging that on March 29, when she was alone at home, a guest teacher forced into her residence and “rape” her.
The complaint added that he also threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone. A senior police officer confirmed that teachers were registered under the Protective Children from Sexual Crimes Act (POCSO) Act and were subsequently arrested under the complaint. “The case is under investigation and all charges are being thoroughly reviewed,” he said.
