Hyderabad: The Irrigation Department once again requested the Godavari River Management Committee (GRMB) to prevent Andhra Pradesh from continuing the Godavari-Banakacharla Link project in any form, especially in view of the AP government forming the “Jala Harathi Corporation” to raise funds for the project.

According to the Associated Press government set up the company batch, “the main purpose of the plan is to transfer floods from the Goldvari Basin” from the polavaram dam to the Banakacharla regulator on Srisailam on the right supervisor.

He said the development occurred after the 17th GRMB meeting on April 7. At the meeting, “GRMB Chairman and members of the AP simply shrugged, saying that the proposal is still in its infancy,” Anil Kumar said in the letter.

He said that given that the company is now inception, GRMB should ensure that the AP will not submit project proposals. At the April 7 meeting, Anil Kumar reminded the board that Telangana was apparently opposed to the project, which aims to transfer “unallocated residual water” of more than 200 TMC feet of Godavari.
