Hardik Pandya, Ashish Nehra fined for violating IPL Code of Conduct

Mumbai: Mumbai Indian Captain Hardik Pandya and his team were heavily fined for keeping their pace slow, while their rival Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra also dealt with the fines for economic punishment and behavior “as opposed to the spirit of the game” in their ipl conflict.
Mi lost three wickets (DLS) methods through the Duckworth-Lewis (DLS) method in a rain-affected match that ended at midnight at Wankhede Stadium.
“As this is his team's second crime this season, Pandya was fined Rs 2.4 lakh according to the IPL's code of conduct related to minimum rate crimes,” IPL said in a statement.
The remaining members of the MI team, including Impact Player and concussion alternatives, were fined separately Rs 6 lakh or 25% of the respective match costs, whichever is lower.
Nehra's offense was not explicitly stated in the IPL press release, but the former pacemakers were clearly excited for quite a while in the game, with multiple rainfalls. He was also seen having an animation discussion with the referee on the scene.
“Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra was fined 25% of the game costs and also amassed an issue of violating the IPL code of conduct,” IPL said.
It added: “He acknowledged the Level 1 offense under Article 2.20 – related to behavior contrary to the spirit of the game – and accepted sanctions from the match referee.”
For Level 1 Code of Conduct Violation, the decision of the match referee is final and binding.
