Harmony Foundation supports Indian Defense Minister Singh calls for reconsideration of $1 billion aid to Pakistan

Pune: Former Vice-Chairman of the Maharashtra Minority Council Dr. Abraham Mathai acknowledged Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s appeal to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to reconsider its $1 billion funding to Pakistan.

Michael Rubin, a senior fellow at the American Corporate Academy and former Pentagon consultant, strongly criticized the Trump administration for supporting the $1 billion IMF bailout to Pakistan despite widespread accusations of sponsoring terrorism.

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on May 16 that the IMF should reconsider its $1 billion loan to Pakistan, accusing it of “financing terrorism.”

Dr. Mathai condemned the International Monetary Fund’s decision to donate $1 billion to Pakistan, a country with a recorded history of Islamic terrorism, which is nothing more than moral anger and has been directly abused by global peace.

He noted that this infusion of capital follows the horrific Pahargam massacre in Kashmir, in which more than 26 innocent civilians were shot and killed by terrorists linked to Pakistani groups.

Initially established to rebuild the international monetary system after World War II, Dr. Mathai said in a statement that the IMF has since evolved into a central actor managing the payment crisis. However, the decision to rescue Pakistan’s $1 billion was shocking at a time when tensions remained high between the two nuclear-armed neighbors (despite the recent ceasefire).

“By extending economic aid to actively protect and sponsor terror countries, the IMF has dirty its credibility and betrayed the trust of several countries in their fight for peace,” Dr. Mathai noted.

“Pakistan’s role as a safe haven for terrorism is not speculative, it is a grim reality,” he said. He added that the mastermind of Osama bin Laden was the mastermind of the 9/11 attack, which claimed nearly 3,000 American lives, was firmly discovered in Abbottabad, a health district with a focus.

“It’s not accidental, but a complicity in a country that always provides refuge for the world’s most desired terrorists,” Dr. Mathai said.

He further added that the IMF’s funding against Pakistan is an insult to every victim of terrorism, especially Americans who died in the 9/11 attacks.

“The IMF’s decision is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and it is a slap for sad families and every citizen who believes in justice. By providing a financial lifeline for a rogue regime that achieves terrorism, the IMF does not matter in Pakistan’s Islamic terror infrastructure.”

“Did the U.S. government intend to breed this dragon through the IMF? Maybe one day it will catch up with the patron?” asked Dr. Mathai.

He reiterated that Pakistan is a rogue state and tends to attack India. “We should conclude that the IMF deliberately endangers international peace and security by sending financial aid to known terrorist sponsors?

Dr. Mathai called on the global community to condemn the reckless decision and demanded an immediate review of IMF funds. It is indeed mean to continue to fund states that mock the sacrifice of the United States and undermine its neighbors’ security.

Dr. Mathai warned that the world cannot ignore a country that flourished on Islamic terrorism while covering itself among its victims. He urged all countries to isolate Pakistan diplomatically and economically until its terrorist infrastructure is demolished and through concrete actions to demonstrate its commitment to peace.

Dr. Mathhai said the IMF’s decision was a taint of the world’s conscience: “It’s time to stop subsidizing terror and establish a future of peace and justice. Pakistan must be held, and the IMF must answer in this serious injustice.”
