Haryana yoga teacher was murdered and buried alive on suspicion of extramarital affair
Jagdeep (45) is a teacher at Baba Mastnath University in Rohtak and has lived in a rental accommodation in Janata Colony for the past three years. According to police, the main suspect Rajkaran (40) believes Jagdeep has an illegal relationship with his wife. Rajkaran allegedly murdered his wife after he found a picture of him on a phone call. Jagdeep disappeared on December 24, 2024. His uncle Ishwar, a resident of the village of Mandothi in Jhajjar, disappeared on February 3 at Shivaji Colony Police Station. Despite extensive efforts by family and police, there was no leader at first.
The investigation began at the university, with police reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing colleagues, but Jagdeep’s location remains a mystery. Break through surveillance videos from and around the Janata Colony. Video shows four people forcibly kidnapped Jagdeep from their rented home, tied his hands and feet and loaded him in the car. Further analysis of mobile dump data points investigators to the village of Pentaawas Kalan, Charkhi Dadri.
Under this leadership, the police detained two suspects, namely Buddha and Hadep. During the inquiry, the two admitted to kidnapping and murder.
The suspect admitted to taking Jagdeep to a secluded area in Paintawas Kalan, where they buried him in a deep pit. A police team led by ASP Shashi Shekhar, along with the CIA, FSL team and local police, under the supervision of IPS official Divyanshi Singla, a police team led by ASP Shashi Shekhar arrived at the scene and began excavation in the presence of Jagdeep’s family. Despite the burial locations being pointed out, the team faced challenges due to the depth and compact soil. After hours of excavation, the body of the car was finally retrieved under the flashlight using a rope.
According to CIA-1 chief Kuldeep, Jagdeep rented a room in a house owned by Rajkaran’s in-laws. Rajkaran’s wife allegedly visited her parents’ home at Pentaawas Kalan, who had formed a relationship with Jagdeep. When Rajkaran discovered this, he responded in anger, which eventually led to a tragic event. Currently, two suspects are in custody, while the main defendant Rajakaran is still on the run.[With TOI inputs]
