Haryana’s Budget: CM announced a unified pension scheme for the state government, setting aside Rs 2,100 for women’s aid. Worker

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday provided a budget of Rs 205,0172.9 crore for the upcoming fiscal year.

Even if the government has reserved a monthly aid plan of Rs 5,000 for women, Lado Lakshmi Yojana, no new taxes are proposed in the budget.

The CM announced that the state government will provide benefits to its employees in accordance with the Center’s plan notified on January 24 this year.

He also said a new authoritative “sankalp (Material Abuse and Anesthesia Knowledge, Awareness and Liberation Program Permission)” would be created to curb substance abuse in young people.

Per capita income

Mr Seni said the state’s GDP has grown by nearly 277 per cent over the past decade (from Rs 4,37,145 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 12,139,51 crore in 2024-25, while income per capita increased by 239 per cent (from Rs 1,47,382 to Rs 1,47,382 to Rs 3,382.

He added that the debt incurred by the government has not increased over the past decade. “This clearly shows that the state government effectively controls loans to public sector businesses,” CM said.

New plan

Mr Seni shared details of the pension scheme, saying state employees will receive a monthly payment of at least Rs 10,000 and an additional 30% of the “family spending”. He added that the benefits will be provided after a minimum service of 10 years.

After 25 years of service, retired employees will receive the full benefit of the program. He added that the plan would benefit nearly 2 million state government employees.
