Mann will complete 5 years of Punjab CM; drugs, corruption “big” problem, Kejirival says

AAP Supreme Arvind Kejriwal asserted on Sunday that Bhagwant Mann would complete his five-year term as Punjab chief minister, wasted the opposition’s claim that he would be removed from office. However, Kagirivar also said that drugs and corruption are the biggest problems in Punjab, and that the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) under Mann has been in power for the past three years.

Kejriwal and Mann prayed at the Golden Temple on Sunday after the three years of government government ended in the state.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal arrived in Amritsar on Saturday after completing a 10-day Vipassana meditation meeting in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
During his visit to the Golden Temple, Kejriwal was accompanied by his wife Sunita Kejriwal and AAP leaders including Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.

The AAM AADMI Party (AAP) won 92 of a total of 117 congress seats in 2022 and formed a government in Punjab in 2022.

Speaking to the reporter from Amritsar, Kejriwal said: “On March 16, 2022, Mann Saab took over as Chief Minister of Punjab. Today, we come here to seek the blessing of Guru Maharaj. For three years, they have guided us and given us the strength to continue serving people.” He said: “Now, the biggest problem in Punjab is drugs and corruption. Thirty thousand people in Punjab gathered to fight for drugs and corruption… This is a battle against Niya (justice). Kejriwal said that they prayed to God to empower them so that they can continue to serve the people of Punjab.

“We are here to serve the people rather than power,” he said.

When asked about AAP’s political rivals claiming that the Punjab chief minister will change soon, the party head asserted: “Mann Saab will complete five years, you don’t have to worry…he will complete the next five years, too.”

Last month, Punjab Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa claimed that 32 AAP MLAs were in touch with him and prepared to transfer. He also claimed that Mann had ties to the BJP.

Bajwa claimed: “When Kejriwal decided to remove him, he would pack up and add to their luggage (BJP).

Meanwhile, Mann told reporters on Sunday that AAP has committed to making Punjab “Rangla Punjab” (prosperity), and his government is working to fulfill its commitments.

He claimed that young people in Punjab have provided 52,000 government jobs.

Mann said a war has begun to target drugs and corruption in the state.

Earlier, the Chief Minister claimed that even in the past 70 years, the work done in the past three years has not been carried out.

He said: “On March 16, 2022, in Khatkar Kalan, we promise to make Punjab a ‘rangla punjab’ (prosperity) … We are fulfilling our promises with kindness and honesty.”

Mann said on X: “Even in the last 70 years, the work done in these three years has not been completed. We will fulfill all our promises to Punjab. We will engage in an ongoing war to end the conclusion from drug evil in Punjab to logical conclusions. Thank you for your support and trust in Punjab,” Mann said on X. ”
