Eight people linked to murder of Hindu activists in Mangaluru: Home Minister G Parameshwara

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said on Saturday that eight people were arrested for Hindu activists arrested here. Suhas Shetty, a famous noisy Sheeter and Hindu activist, was murdered by an unidentified group on Thursday in the Bajpe police station in Mangaluru City. Parameshwara said in a press conference after meeting with senior police officials that eight people were linked to Shetty's murder.
After the murders ended, VHP appealed to a band on Friday that the store was closed in Mangaluru city.
Parameshwara and Regional Chief Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao rushed to Mangaluru on Friday and had a high-level discussion with Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal and Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan to assess the law and order situation.

Ministers reviewed security arrangements and called for peace and ensured that strict action will be taken against those responsible for violence and destruction.
