Seethakka opens Jowar procurement center

Adilabad: Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka opened a new Jowar procurement center in the Gudihathnoor market yard on Saturday, where Markfed will purchase sorghum through the Junior Agricultural Credit Association (PACS).

Referring to the gathering, Seethakka pointed out that Adilabad has extensive sorghum cultivation and the state government has authorized the procurement of 14 fifths per acre. “Currently, the purchase price is 8.65 per acre and we will pay the minimum support price of Rs 3,371 per duke,” she said.

Earlier in the day, at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium, the minister distributed tricycles and auxiliary equipment to persons with disabilities. She then laid the foundation for the Dhannur Village in Boath Mandal and participated in the local Poshana nutrition program. Seethakka also opened an Indiramma model home in Dasnapur and opened a senior home established by the Thula Subhash Welfare Association.

Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, MLA Payal Shankar, MLC Dande Vittal, collector Rajarshi Shah, Sp Akhil Mahajan and senior congressional leaders Thula Arun, Atram Sugana and Srikanth are among them.
