HC instructs EPFO not to take mandatory steps

Hyderabad: To temporarily alleviate Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Ltd (TLMAL), the holiday seat of the Telangana High Court directed the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) not to take mandatory steps until May 21 to restore the company’s so-called Provident Fund (PF) dues.
EPFO issued a ban order to freeze two bank accounts of TLMAL because it was reported that it failed to remit money from about 14 foreign workers employed between 2012 and 2017, which were considered “international workers” under the EPF Act of 1952.
Earlier, a judicial court in the Telangana High Court rejected TLMAL’s appeal regarding installment payments. As the EPFO issued a ban order on May 6 to freeze bank accounts, the company contacted the holiday seats and sought to thaw the accounts.
TLMAL lawyers believe the company has deposited Rs 4 crore in 2018 and recovered Rs 430 crore. Vacation seat instructions EPFO submit to the counter.
