HC refuses to interfere with school assistant job recruitment ratio

The Telangana High Court refused to pass any order in a written petition requiring the reduction of promotion quota to secondary school teachers as school assistants.
Currently, the state government has fixed the 33.33% quota for school assistant positions through direct recruitment and remaining 66.66% mandate and promotion. These 20 petitioners were unemployed and completed their B.Ed. They hope the government will increase the recruitment rate for school assistant positions to 80% or more.
The seats of Acting Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Judge Narsing Rao Nandikonda heard the incident, noting that setting a percentage of school assistant positions through direct recruitment was “the entire policy decision of the state government.” While handling the written petition, the substitute said in the order that the petitioner could ventilate with the government alone or in a representative capacity.
