HCA cannot make any financial decisions: HC temporary direction

Judge CV Bhaskar Reddy of the High Court of Telangana has directed the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) to “do not take any administrative or policy decisions involving financial issues, in addition to paying its employees and other daily expenses of the association.”

The temporary direction is a writ petition filed by the Telangana Cricket Association, which filed serious charges against the HCA, accusing its office head of indulging in corruption. The petitioner’s lawyer argued that the current HCA’s governing board abused its power to spend association funds. He also insisted that the HCA president was disqualified from the election under the scanner for allegedly stolen funds.

He also said that in the case of HCA’s misappropriation of funds, the Enforcement Bureau has attached real estate worth Rs 5,129 crore to the property of real estate. When the judge passed the trial, he observed the questions raised in the request for “request for a ruling”, and the judge passed the interim order.
