An Indian and a Filipino climber died on Mount Everest during the spring 2025 rock climbing season, becoming the first deaths of the year.
Two climbers die on Mount Everest during this year’s climbing season
Two climbers from India and another from the Philippines died during the hiking season on the tip, from March to May. Hiking officials in Nepal confirmed the news.
Subrata Ghosh, a 45-year-old climber from India, died Thursday after successfully achieving the summit of Mount Everest, which is 8,849 meters (29,032 feet). When he returned from a height he surpassed under the Hillary step.
