Bandy Grand Slam. Disrespectful Ambedkar

Karimnagar: Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of State for the Union of the Interior Ministry, accused Congress of repeatedly disrespectful to the Indian constitution of Dr. Br Ambedkar. He spoke at the Ambedkar Jayanti celebration at the Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar on Sunday.

Sanjay Kumar claims that Congress not only opposed Ambedkar during his lifetime, but also humiliated him after his death. He claimed that the party prevented Ambedkar’s last ceremony from taking place in Delhi, but instead transferred it to Mumbai. Additionally, he said the Congressional administration has issued a bill to Ambedkar’s wife to pay for flights carrying bodies – something he called “a shameful and inhumane move.”

As part of the celebration, Sanjay Kumar led a bicycle rally organized by BJP workers. The rally featuring portraits of Ambedkar and saffron flags traveled through major urban locations including Kothirampur, Kaman Chowrasta, a town police station and Court Chowrasta. The event ended, with the BJP leaders washing Ambedka’s statue with fresh water and putting forward slogans like “Jay Bym” and “Jay Bejeep”.

Speaking to the media, Sanjay Kumar said that Ambedkar’s life and legacy should be passed on to future generations to eliminate social ignorance. He described Ambedkar as a revolutionary, overcoming poverty and social discrimination and becoming the global knowledge and cornerstone of Indian democracy.

He praised the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who said major steps have been taken to commemorate Ambedka’s legacy, including the establishment of five memorial halls, the release of commemorative stamps and coins, and the installation of Ambedkar in Parliament and the Supreme Court.

He also highlighted the promotion of Dalits and tribal leaders – Ram Nath Kovind and Droupadi Murmu as presidents under the BJP and highlighted the increase in representation of Dalits, OBC and women in the coalition cabinet.

Sanjay Kumar refers to Ambedkar’s resignation as the law minister in 1951, claiming that the party has been opposing Ambedkar, including defeating him in the 1952 and 1954 elections and failing to properly recognize his contribution.

He asserted: “Parliament attempts to erase Ambedka from history. The BJP is committed to protecting and promoting his legacy.”
