Zelenskyy says Putin was “dirty scum” after Russian ballistic missiles hit Sumy | World News

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack and called Vladimir Putin a “dirty scum” who claimed the lives of ordinary people after a Russian ballistic missile strike on Sunday, causing dozens of civilian casualties.

The attack occurred when residents participated in Sunday church services targeting residential areas, educational institutions and streets, causing widespread damage.

The strike killed at least 31 people, including two children, and more than 84 were injured, 10 of which were injured, the worst attack on Ukrainian civilians since 2023.

Zelenskyy shared a video of X’s terrorist attack on X, “Russian ballistic missile strike.

“According to preliminary information, dozens of civilians were killed and wounded. Only dirty scum can do so – taking the lives of ordinary people.”

He expressed his condolences to the victim’s families and loved ones and stressed the need for a strong response to Russian actions.

“My condolences to my family and loved ones. Rescue operations are underway. All necessary services are on site,” he said.

Zelenskyy urged global communities, including the United States and Europe, to take a firm stance on Russia’s terror strategy.

He said: “The world must respond firmly.

He added: “Russia wants this terror completely and delays this war. Without pressure Russia, peace cannot be possible. Negotiations never stop ballistic missiles and air bombs. It takes an attitude towards Russia that terrorists deserve. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and helps us defend our lives.”

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Russia rejected a full ceasefire for the second consecutive month.

The attack is part of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has always called for stronger international action to protect the sovereignty and citizens of his country.
