On the second day of the explosion of the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad, RV Karnan Health and Family Welfare Specialist visited the hospital on Sunday, April 20 to review the situation and monitor safety protocols.
According to the official release, the fire was traced to a short circuit of the electric panel on the fifth floor of the trauma block near the auditorium. Clarification, the affected area is a risk for a non-patient or hospital staff.
NIMS Director Dr. N. Bheerappa stressed that hospitals prioritize fire safety and conduct regular drills and training courses to ensure staff are equipped for emergencies.
