Health and Family Welfare Secretary Dinesh Gundu Rao attacked the 2025 WAQF (Amendment) bill on Wednesday in the NDA government, which was played in Lok Sabha, saying the center’s move was “unconstitutional” and that it is taking away power from the U.S.

Mr. Rao told reporters here that the center has no right to this issue, but interfering with subjects from various states will backfire. Even if the bill has been passed in parliament, the Supreme Court will be challenged. “The central move is nothing more than dictatorial,” he accused.

The minister said that if there are any violations regarding the WAQF property, an investigation can be conducted. But the Central action is unacceptable, and seizing the state’s power is “unconstitutional” and “unconstitutional”.

In defending the suspension of 18 BJP MLAs, Mr Rao defended the spokesperson’s actions and slammed the BJP on the last day of the budget meeting to prevent the Chief Minister from making a statement. “The unruly behavior of the BJP MLA must be condemned because they show disrespect for the Speaker and his post. The BJP MLAS sets bad precedents and the people of the state monitor their disrespectful behavior.”

He suggested that senior BJP leaders must advise suspended judicial assistants to act correctly in the House. Leaders do not have to ask for the revocation of the MLA’s moratorium, but must educate them on the House of Representatives’ behavior. He said that there is nothing to learn in BJP MLA and their actions are shameful.

Regarding the issue of rising prices and the BJP’s protests across the state, Mr. Rao said the opposition’s job is to protest and they are doing the work. “I also recommend that they protest the rising prices of basic commodities contributed by the center.”
