Heatwave catches Telangana’s 29 areas to record 40 degrees Celsius

Hyderabad: The scorching heat wave continues to catch Telangana, with 29 out of 33 regions on Sunday’s highest temperatures above 40°C, while parts of the state face thunderstorms at the same time. According to the Telangana Development Program Association, mercury hit 43.8ºC in the Nirmal area, followed by Kamareddy and Nizamabad at 43.5°C each.
Medchal-Malkajgiri recorded peak temperatures of 41.6°C and Hyderabad was 40.4°C, which was blown hot and dry for most of the afternoon.
Even if the heat continues, the change in weather patterns can lead to unexpected rainfall and wind damage in several areas, caused by active harassment in Western Iran and its cyclone cycle.
In Yadadri, strong winds lifted uprooted trees near tekulasomamaram, causing traffic congestion along the cityal-bhuvanagiri road. Isolated hail was reported in Jangaon, while rains were occurring in multiple locations across the state.
IMD issued thunderstorm warnings in 23 regions over the next two days, including Hyderabad.
These conditions are expected to last until April 21, after which dry weather is likely to return across the state from April 22 to 26.
In the next few days, at daytime temperatures, the Meteorological Center has predicted that even if residents were told to conduct another round of thunderstorms in several areas, including Suryapet, Hanamkonda, Siddipet and Sangareddy, gradually increase by 2ºC to 3°C.
