Heavy rain continues on the coastal AP, Rayalaseema

Visakhapatnam: According to reports from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday, heavy rain and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning will continue on Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema in the north and south until May 22.
Gusts of 50-60 kmph may be in isolated locations in Rayalaseema. Their speed will be 40 km on AP and Yanam along the north and south coasts.
These rainfalls are persistent due to the troughs caused by West Vidarbha’s cycle of mountain enzymes 1.5 km above sea level along the northern Karnataka along Rayalaseema along the sea level at an altitude of 1.5 km.
According to the IMD report, conditions are conducive to further development in more areas of the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Bengal over the next two to three days.
During the last 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Sunday, Gorantla (Sri Sathya Sai district) received the highest rainfall of 9.7 cm, followed by Uravakonda (Anantapur) 8.9 cm, Kurnool town 7.6 cm, Amadagur (Sri Sathya Sai) 7.4 cm, Holagunda (Kurnool) 6.4 cm, Brahmasamudram (Anantapur) 5.6 cm, Markapur (Prakasam) 4.7 cm, Eluru 3.8 cm and Racherla (Prakasam District) 3.7 cm.
