High Power Committee appointed for journalists’ protection

Kakinada: Labor Minister Vasamsetti Subhash announced that the coalition government will appoint high-power committees in all regions of the state to ensure the protection of journalists. These committees will be led by regional collectors and police departments.

The Minister, as chief guest at the general meeting of Dr. Apuwj BR BR Ambedkar Konaseema District in Ramachandrapuram, said the government will also restore health cards for journalists. He added that efforts will be made to get a 50% fee concession for journalists’ children in corporate schools.
He further noted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu plans to allocate the House of Representatives to journalists and will soon organize a special medical camp for journalists and their families in Ramachandrapuram.

The meeting was chaired by former East Godavari Apuwj Chairman K. Swathi Prasad.
