High water in Pando Dam in Mandi, Himaal; Flash torrent block Sansari-Thirot Road in Lahaul Spiti

Authorities at Pando Dam in Mandy District warned the public and visitors not to venture to the banks of the Beth River as the water level rises and leak doors can be opened at any time.

Thunderstorms caused damage in parts of Mandy district on Monday, with dark clouds covering the sky of Mandy and Shimla. Officials said the safety of the dam is being determined.

Floods in the Udaipur subdistricts in Lahaul and Spiti areas blocked the Sansari-Killar-Tindi-Thirot road. Police have urged the public to avoid traveling on the road as its cleaning is blocked by rain.

The local metropolitan office issued an orange warning every hour in isolated places in the Una and Shimla areas on Monday, accompanied by rainy season, accompanied by lightning, hail and storms, at speeds of 40-50 km/h.

It also issued a yellow warning warning of moderate rain, accompanied by lightning and gusts of 30-40 km/h, in isolated locations in Bilapusul, Mandi, Mandi, Kuru, Hamilpur, Solan, Solan and Silmore regions.

Light rain was predicted in Shimla and adjacent areas.
