Ram Navami celebrates large parades throughout the country, special prayers; close security in several states

He urged the people to uphold gender equality in their daily lives, saying: “Everyone has a duty to treat their daughters equally. Only when women get rid of injustice and exploitation can we truly realize the vision of a strong and capable India,” he said.
Devotees offer prayers and participate in the recitations of the Ramayana and the Devotion Foundation in various temples. In Varanasi, a special hasvan was performed.

In Chamu and Kashmir, young children dressed as Lord Ram, Laxman and Sita participated in the parade of Lar Jok of Srinagar.
In Telangana, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy performed a traditional ceremony at the Sri Sita Ramachandraswamy temple in Bhadrachalam.

The roads in the capital of Jharkand are decorated with saffron flags with Ram and Lord Hanuman. Many temples recite Hanuman Chalisa and Ramcharitmanas.
A large number of security personnel were deployed in “sensitive” places in Ranchi, Jamshidpur, Giridih and Hazaribag, one official said.
He said security personnel with CCTV cameras and drones deployed and equipped with body parking spaces gathered at critical locations, adding that Ranchi, 200 sheriffs and more than 2,000 police officers were on duty.

In Sambar, Uttar Pradesh, a group of devotees were seen in Rambagh Dham where a 51-foot statue of Lord Ram was installed.
“The statue is so beautiful, it seems Lord Shri Ram is talking to us,” said devotee Vinay Varshney.
In Lucknow, people flock to the famous Chandrika Devi, Mankameshwar, Kali Bari and Sailani Mata Semples.
“The police force is on guard and the state has carefully arranged safety arrangements,” an official said.
