Karnataka Home Secretary G. Parameshwara said on Monday (21 April 2025) that a detailed investigation will make the truth behind former Karnataka Om Prakash’s former DGP, despite allegedly being killed by his wife Pallavi.
Retired IPS official was found dead on Sunday afternoon (20 April 2025) in a group of blood pools in his HSR layout residence in Bangalore.
Mr Parameshwara told reporters that former DGP Om Prakash had been murdered. It is said that his wife (Pallavi) murdered him. Only a detailed investigation can bring out the truth. ”
The minister said Prakash became Director General of Police (DGP) when he was the Minister of the Interior in 2015.
Asked about the reasons behind the murder, Mr Parameshwara said he did not know the investigation had begun and the investigative officer had not shared any information.
He also expressed his awareness of the disharmony between the couple and Ms. Palawi, who suffers from schizophrenia.
