Horses and mules are prohibited from being lifted in stages on the Kedarnath route

rudraprayag(u’khand): The ban on ferry pilgrims using horses and muzis on the Kedanas trek route is gradually rising, with more than 3,000 horses sent to the Himalayan temple on Monday. In just two days, the route died on the route due to suspected influenza virus disease (EIVD) in horses, a temporary ban a week ago.

Officials here said a total of 3,410 horses and mules headed to Jeddanas on Monday, adding that horses on the pilgrimage route are now gradually lifting.

On Sunday, the government sent a total of 1,670 horses and mules.

Due to the ban, a large number of horses and mules were isolated after the virus outbreak.

But the situation is improving now and the ban is gradually lifting, officials said.

A few days ago, two horses and muzis were sentenced to the shrine in the relevant departments.

The trial was successful and no symptoms of viral infection were found in the animals.

Since then, the government has begun to allow animal movement to negatively affect the pilgrimage route in a phased manner in the survey report.

However, health checks for all animals are conducted regularly, and only those declared healthy and perfectly suitable are sent to the Yatra route.
