House team discussing CCI roles next week in the digital age

According to a notice from the Lok Sabha Secretariat, senior corporate affairs officials will present to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on April 28 on the “the growing role of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) in the economy, especially the digital landscape”.

One who is aware of these details said the briefing could cover topics ranging from proposals to regulating digital competition laws for large participants to antitrust behaviors of e-commerce and effective supervision of fast business participants.

The group is led by Bhartruhari Mahtab, senior leader of BJP.
Corporate Affairs Secretary Deepti Gaur Mukherjee and other senior officials are expected to present to the House Committee.
