Angels of Blusmart: Deepika Padukone, MS Dhoni, Sanjeev Bajaj, who invested in the startup company of Anmol Jaggi

Launched in 2018, Blusmart quickly stole the spotlight, attracting the attention of many angel investors who bought stakes in the company in various fundraising events. The All-EV fleet, promises to be on time and is a greener alternative to traditional ride-hailing apps, sweeping India, and investors see an opportunity to benefit from the allowance.
Anmol Singh Jaggi holds nearly 25% of the shares in Blusmart, while his brother Puneet Singh Jaggi holds nearly 5% of the shares in the company, according to a report NDTV Profit citing data from PrivateCircle.
Gensol Engineering co-founder Jaggi Brothers ran smoothly with Blusmart until SEBI banned the company and their departure from the securities market on Tuesday until further orders for fund transfers and governance failed. The regulator also set Anmol and Puneet Singh Jaggi apart from their positions as director or principal executives at Gensol until further orders.
However, in the months and years before the SEBI order, Blusmart and Jaggi Brothers co-founded the company, with many well-known investors buying stakes in the App Cab Company. The most prominent names include MS Dhoni, Deepika Padukone, Sanjeev Bajaj and Ashneer Grover.

In 2019, Deepika Padukone’s home office has invested in Blusmart, part of the $3 million Angel Round.
In the same round, Sanjiv Bajaj, managing director of Bajaj Capital, also made an investment. Other notable investors include Jito Angel Network and Rajat Gupta.
Recently, in 2024, Blusmart raised $24 million from investors in MS Dhoni’s family offices, including MS Dhoni’s family offices. The renewal of the Responsible Investment of Electric Power CEO Sumant Sinha and a Swiss-based asset management company have also invested in the company at that time.
Bharatpe founder Ashneer Grover also revealed his investment in X post ₹In Blusmart, there are 150 million people calling themselves the “victim” of the crushing defeat.
“I am the ‘victim’ of the current situation ₹Blusmart 15 million, ₹0.25 Cr in the matrix. I hope the business company will survive the current scattered defeat for the sake of stakeholders. ” he said.
Blusmart pauses
Several passengers across Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai have been unable to book taxis through Ride Hailing App Blusmart since Wednesday.
According to various customers, multiple attempts to book a Blusmart ride have failed since Wednesday night. The app also remains unworkable on Thursday.
“We decided to temporarily close bookings on the Blusmart app. We appreciate your support very much. Although we strive to come back soon, we will initiate a refund within 90 days if the service does not resume before,” the company said in an email to customers, with no reason.
