How Ricky Ponting’s inspiring conversations drive anxiety PBK foreign players to stay in India after ceasefire

Satish Menon, CEO of Punjab Kings, told PTI that referring to the World Cup champion Pep Take, he said: “It shows Ponting’s role. Only he can do that.”
After giving up the IPL game on May 8, a group of anxious players had to go on a tight/train trip from Dharamsala to Dharamsala, which included Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis and Xavier Bartlett (all from Australia).
“Foreign players are not used to things like this (war situation). So it’s natural for them to feel anxious. Under the Stones, they all want to leave early, understandably. But Ponty convinced them to convince them to keep ceasefire after the ceasefire, which I think is amazing,” said a source on the team.
South Africa’s Marco Jansen is a regular player for PBK this season, the only one who left India but transited in Dubai with only a short flight. With the announcement of the IPL recovery, Punjab finds itself in good positions in the country and in both the backup Indian and foreign players. With the team waving in a tense situation, it may prompt the team to do something special in the IPL.
In the first season of the Shryas Iyer and Ricky Ponting era, Punjab stood on its first additional seat since 2014.
Another stranded team in Dharamsala is the Delhi capital after the Punjab Kings were abandoned with 122 points. The competition will resume from the post at an unspecified location and date.
