The system consists of three phases: G1, G2 and Full G. Each stage is designed to gradually improve your driving skills.
Step 1: Obtain your G1 license
G1 is a license for beginners. To apply, you must be at least 16 years of age before you pass:
- Vision test
- Written knowledge tests on road signs and rules

G1 Limit:
- You must drive a fully licensed driver with over 4 years of experience (G)
