President Donald Trump said Friday that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are “overhead” and insisted that both sides “play” him while working to end the war. Trump warned earlier in the day that if there is no progress in the coming days, the United States could “continue” from trying to obtain a Russian-Ukrainian peace deal that months of efforts failed to end the battle. “Now, if for some reason one of the two parties makes it very difficult, then we’ll just say you’re stupid. You’re a fool, you’re a horrible person,” Trump said. “And we’ll only pass. But hopefully we don’t have to.”
