Huge 40-person fight breaks out as police use chili spray to destroy chaos

Police were forced to use chili spray to control the crowd in a massive fight involving 40 people in Sydney.

NSW police took huge measures after fighting in the park on Pirama Road in Pyrmont, central Sydney at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police accused the group of disembark from a chartered boat shortly before the fight broke out.

Three people were arrested at the scene – two 24-year-old men and a 21-year-old man.

A 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were taken to the Royal Alfred Hospital and St. Vincent’s hospital respectively.

The 24-year-old man was charged in the hospital for assault.

The 24-year-old man was also charged with assault at the Day Street Police Department.

Both were granted conditional bail and appeared in the Downing Center District Court on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

The 21-year-old man was later released from police custody without acquit.

It is understood that no one is involved in life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene was established, which was later inspected by expert police.

As the investigation continues, police are urging to contact the Sydney City Police Department or crime stoppers with any information about the fight or possible dashboard/mobile video.
