Hurun’s Global Rich List, 2025: Roshni Nadar becomes the first Indian woman to enter the top 10 women in the world this year as her father, Shiv Nadar, transferred 47% of HCL shares. She is currently the fifth richest woman in the world.
Malhotra holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and he is the chairman of HCL Technologies, a multinational IT services and consulting firm. She served as a $12 billion tech giant from her father in July 2020.
In addition to her company role, she has participated in charitable activities through the Shiv Nadar Foundation, which focuses on education. She has established some of India’s top universities and schools and has been involved in conservation efforts through habitat trust.
Earlier this month, HCL Technologies founder Tillionaire Shiv Nadar gifted his daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra, part of a strategic succession plan. India’s third largest IT services specialist announced in regulatory filings to the stock exchange that Malhotra will gain control after transferring gift deeds and subsequent shares and become a majority shareholder of Vama Delhi and HCL Corp.
