Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one of those who hope that the former Prime Minister will hope for former Prime Minister Deve Gowda during his 92nd birthday on Sunday.
“Wish our former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda ji to his birthday wishes. He is widely respected for his politician’s attitude and enthusiasm for public service. His wisdom and insights on several issues are a source of great power. May he have a long-term and healthy life,” Modi said on social media platforms.
His son and union industrial and steel Kumaraswamy said the senior leader is the president of Janata Dal (secular) state and was also the inspiration and power for his social work.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also went to X, wishing the non-ruler. General Assembly opposition leader R. Ashok met with the former Prime Minister at his residence and greeted him.
Among others to wish him were Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, AP Department Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, former Chief Minister BS Yediyurapla, and a host of Union Cabinet Ministers and national leaders. Earlier, the former prime minister visited Tirumala and said that visiting Tirumala on May 18 each year since 1986 was a practice.
The senior leader also returned to the party office from Tirumala on Sunday afternoon, where he was welcomed by workers and leaders. He also cut a cake as part of the celebration.
