Hyderabad to North flights resume in phases

Hyderabad: Flight operations in several northern cities including Hyderabad to Srinagar, Chamu, Leh, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Rajkot and Rajkot and Bhuj will be suspended from Tuesday. Although most airlines earlier released consultations that confirmed cancellations, Indigo was the only airline to release the latest update on Tuesday.
In its latest recommendation, Indigo said: “Flight operations of the affected sector will gradually resume from May 14, 2025. Please check your flight status before heading to the airport.” Indigo officials said that flight operations to affected areas will gradually resume and are expected to return to normal in the next few days as the situation occurs.
Despite the ongoing uncertainty, both Indigo and India Air’s websites indicate that bookings before May 14 are open to these destinations, although most flights are connected via connection routes through cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
According to available data, Air India is flying 10 flights to Srinagar through Delhi, twelve through Mumbai and Delhi, ten to Chandigarh and seven to Bhuj without planning to fly to Jammu and Leh. Other available flights include Rajkot, Chandigarh and Bhuj. Indigo offers 14 flights to Srinagar through Delhi, 7 to Jamu and 5 to Amritsar.
Passengers are advised to closely monitor the airline’s consultation and flight status, as operations are expected to resume in accordance with evolving conditions.
Travel agencies in Hyderabad said they are seeing changes in booking patterns. Passengers who booked flights to Chamu in early June are now canceling their tickets. Meanwhile, bookings in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi have increased. Travel agencies say many passengers are trying to avoid any potential damage by choosing a safer destination.
