Hyderabad Tragedy: 17 people near Chamin died; PMO announces former Gratia relief | Indian News

Hyderabad fire: A fire broke out in a building in Gulzar House near Charminar, Hyderabad, killing 17 people, including children under 1.5 years of age.
In a press release, Telangana Fire Disaster Response to Emergency and Civil Defense Notifications, after receiving information about the fire in Gulzar House Chowrasta, G+2 building, Charminar, Charminar, Moghalpura water tender, and its crew arrived at the scene of the fire.
It added that due to access restrictions and speeding up search and rescue operations, auxiliary telephone calls were made to other fire departments, with a total of 12 appliances arriving at the fire department and participating in fire and rescue operations. It took two hours to put out the spark.
The release added: “The cause of the alleged fire is under investigation. The value of the damaged property has not been determined yet.”
ANI, citing Telangana disaster response and fire service DG, Y Nagi Reddy, said: “Preliminary inspections show that the cause was a short circuit.”
Reddy added that all 17 deaths were caused by inhalation and smoking, “no one was injured.”
According to the press release, individuals who died include Prahalad (70), Abhishek (31), Pankaj (36) and others.

Union Minister and head of Telangana BJP, G Kishan Reddy, who attended the tragedy, told several people that they were worried about death, adding that the accident occurred due to a short-term tour.
Speaking to reporters, Reddy added that the fire broke out at a pearl store and continued to inform death and injury.
“The fire broke out in a pearl store owned by a family. Their house was on the floor above the store. The accident happened due to a short circuit. Many people died in the accident. Some were injured.”
“I’m not blaming anyone, but since Hyderabad is a rapidly growing city, the police, municipal, fire and electricity sectors should be strengthened. The fire department here does not have enough equipment. A family told me that the fire bidders do not have enough equipment until 7:30 am… until the state government can’t allocate more money to the fire department… After the assistance provided to the Prime Minister, I will get funds, I provide funding for international health, I will get assistance with experience.

A total of 11 fire trucks were sent to the scene to control the fire. In the IANS video, dark and thick smoke can be seen at the time of the accident.

Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said in an interview with ANI that when the fire broke out left and right, it was at 6:16 am, the Telangana Government Fire Department attended the meeting on the spot.
He said: “The fire broke out around 6 a.m. and by 6:16 a.m., the fire department of the Telangana government was on site.
Prabhakar added that Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy spoke without saying a word with his family living in the building.
He added: “The Chief Minister has spoken with the family. The state government will fully support the family. We will conduct a thorough review to ensure fire safety and avoid any such incidents. The public must also support the fire department here.”
PMO announces former Gratiya
In an article on social media platform X, the Prime Minister’s Office expressed condolences and said: “The life was deeply troubled by the fire in telangana Hyderabad. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the recovery of injury soon.”
Additionally, the PMO post added that funding is required before the rupees. Rs 2 million from PMNRF will be given to each deceased’s next relative and the injured will receive Rs. 50,000.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “Former gratia provided from PMNRF will be provided to each deceased’s next relative. The injured will receive Rs 50,000.”

According to ANI, another accident was reportedly reported, with a fire in a three-story building in Begum Bazar, Hyderabad.
