The Hyderabad Traffic Police Department issued a consultation ahead of the 72nd Miss World Walk in Charminar on May 13 and dinner at the Chowmahalla Palace. Vehicle movement will be limited to 2pm to 11pm in several extensions of the Old Town.

During this period, the roads from Madina to Charminar, Charminar to Shalibanda, Shalibanda to Volga Junction, and Volga Junction and through Khilwat Road to Moosabowli will be closed to all vehicles during this period.

Transportation from Nayapool to Charminar will be transferred to the City College in Madina. Shalibanda and Nagulchintha’s vehicles towards Charminar will be transferred to Himmatpura to Haribowli and Fateh Darwaza. Traffic at the Volga junction will be redirected according to the direction of flow and cannot enter the Chowmahalla Palace.

Commuters from Puranapool will be transferred in Moosabowli, while commuters approaching from Chowk Maidan, Etebar Chowk, Mitti Ka Sher and Lakkad Kote will also be redirected through alternative lanes. These restrictions will also apply to RTC buses, with certain routes restricted or transferred through Chanchalguda, Saidabad and Aramghar.

Police warned that traffic may be congested at major junctions including MJ Bridge, Nayapool, Madina X Road, Shalibanda and Laldarwaza. Citizens are advised to plan their travel accordingly and use alternative routes.
