Hydraa Events Not Responsible for Real Estate Downturn: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad:D. Minister Sridhar Babu said on Monday that real estate sectors across India, including Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Pune, have been sluggish. He said that Hydraa activity had nothing to do with regard to Hyderabad’s downturn.

In response to an inquiry raised by Mim floor chief Akbaruddin Owaisi in Parliament, the minister clarified that other parameters of the property downturn.

Sridhar Babu noted that Hydraa has been established to protect lakes, water bodies and Naras, saying that of the 9,078 complaints received against the encroachment, they have resolved 7,249 complaints, mostly by poor and middle-class people. He said hundreds of people lined up in the Hydraa office to complain every day.

Regarding the land of Hyderabad Central University (HCU), the minister reiterated that the government will not take up its single square inch.

“My deputy chief minister, Bhatti Vikramarka, is a product of HCU. The vice president and registrant of the university told us that the lakes do not belong to the university. Rocks have nothing to do with the university. We have never claimed to own a single inch of HCU land.”

Meanwhile, Owaisi claims that the real estate sector has declined in Hyderabad due to Hilla activity. In addition, he called for a whole party meeting to discuss the issue of expense reimbursement. Owaisi said successive governments have failed to provide financial aid to students.

“It’s time to build a single platform by convening a full-party meeting to discuss compensation and allowances issues thoroughly,” he said.

BJP member Rakesh Reddy also sought a party-wide meeting to carefully discuss expense reimbursement issues.

CPI member Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao said they would support the full party meeting proposed by MIM on expense reimbursement, but political parties must actually consider this issue, especially when wealthy people also apply for fee reimbursement and apply for fees.
