Police were murdered on Monday by a 26-year-old man who was murdered near the edge of the Turahalli Forest on Monday. Now, police have arrested his wife’s ex-fiance and are searching for his wife.

The deceased, identified as Sameer, was a professional mechanic, found early Monday morning at the back of a roadside restaurant near Thalaghattapura. A Hosala police patrol touched his body and lay in blood.

According to officials, evidence at the scene indicated that the attack occurred at the site where the body was found. The lack of defensive injuries and signs of struggle has led investigators to suspect that the attacker was Sameer’s person.

Further investigation, police questioned close relatives and relatives, ultimately revealing the history of family tensions.

“Sameer’s wife, 22-year-old Umme Salma alias Nazia, was previously engaged to the defendant Dada Peer alias Daddu, 25. After the engagement, she continued to marry Sameer. The couple had a one-year-old child,” said a senior police officer.

Even though their relationship ended, Salma and her companions (also mechanics) were still in contact. Officials said Salma allegedly had frequent disputes with her husband and his drinking habits. The two allegedly made a plan to kill Sameer.

On the evening of April 6, it is believed that the companion attracted Sameer to a secluded location behind Dhaba near Turahalli Forest and killed him with a hardcore. When the peers were detained, police were looking for Salma, who was currently absconding.
