IAF’s Surya Kiran Anobatic team conducts a comprehensive rehearsal for Patna Airshow

The Surya Kiran Oanobatic team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a comprehensive rehearsal for Patna Airshow, which will be held on Wednesday. The rehearsal was held Tuesday on the banks of the Ganges River in the state capital and dedicated to schools and college students.

Nine state-of-the-art Hawk 132 aircraft from Surya Kiran perform an amazing aerobatic feat in the sky of Patna. Enough seating and arrangements were prepared for students.

The main event will be held in the state capital on Wednesday in honor of Shaurya Diwas.
It was observed that Shaurya diwas celebrated the victory of the free fighter Babu Veer Kunwar Singh over the British army on April 23.

Kunwar Singh, also known as Babu Veer Kunwar Singh was the chief organizer of the 1857 Indian rebellion, from the Bhojpur region of Bihar.


The IAF’s jet will be presented on Wednesday along the JP Ganga path on the banks of the Ganges in the state capital. “This will be the first time that IAF’s Skat has attracted audiences by performing acrobatics in Patna’s sky. Thousands of people will gather in front of Patna’s Sabhyata Dwar at a major air show Wednesday,” a statement issued by the state’s Department of Information and Public Relations (IPRD). It said Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other VIPs will witness the spectacular air show on Wednesday.

During the stunt, Patna Traffic Police have changed the traffic system.

“To avoid traffic congestion in the city and to avoid inconvenience to people, several parking areas were created for this purpose. Spectators traveling from Danapur and Ashoka Rajpath will have to park their vehicles at JP Setu Ghat, Digha Ghat, Digha Ghat, Ghat No 88 and 93,” the statement said.

It said: “The parking arrangements have been made for those who go from Gaighat to Sabhyata dwarves near Patna College Ground, Science College Ground and Krishna Ghat.”

Patna Police Director (SP) Aparajit Lohan said six cranes will be deployed at the main locations to tow away vehicles that have not been parked in place.

He said severe legal proceedings will be taken against those who do not comply with traffic rules.
