Telangana Tourism Minister Smita Sabharwal, recorded her official statement in the Gachibowli police station on Saturday (April 19) that relate to an ongoing investigation regarding the dispute over the 400 acres of Kancha Gachibowli land.

Senior IAS officials were called after a notice issued by Gachibowli police last week and sought the right date and time to record their version. The inquiry is related to AI-generated Ghibli-style image associated with a controversial land issue that is shared on her X account.

The official received her account X and questioned the reasons behind the action, calling for law enforcement to be consistent. She wrote: “The post was reprotected by 2,000 people on this platform. I sought clarification on whether the same action was initiated for everyone! If not everyone, this attracted attention to selective positioning, which in turn undermined the principles of natural justice and equality before the law.”

Her remarks have responded differently online, some of which questioned her decision to publicly criticize the government’s actions and spread “fake news” on public platforms.

This is the reason for the AI generation and deformation content circulating among the state government’s individuals in the AI related to Kancha Gachibowli Land Row, which authorities say could have led to turmoil and misinformation.
