Rajneet Kohli of Britannia will join HUL
New Delhi: Rajneet Kohli, former CEO and Executive Director of Britannia Industrials Ltd., will join Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) to lead its food and refreshment division.
Kohli announced his resignation from the cookie maker on March 6 and resigned from an active role in Britannia starting March 14 as of March 14.
The Food and Refreshment Division is HUL’s second home care after home care, after the company’s beauty and personal care division was divided into beauty and well-being and personal care businesses last year.
In fiscal year 2023-24, the Food and Refreshment Department reported revenue ₹152.92 million, accounting for 25% of HUL ₹According to the company’s November speech, 595.79 million sales increased from 17% donations a decade ago.
Hul appointed Shiva Krishnamurthy as executive director of its food and refreshment division last February. Mint cannot verify Krishnaldi’s next move.

Hul sells food brands such as Kissan Ketchup, Bru Coffee, Nord Noodles, Brooke Bond Tea, Horlicks Malt Drinks, Lipton Tea and Hellmann’s Mayonnaise. Its home care division includes laundry and home cleaning brands such as Surf Excel and Wheel.
Kwality Wall’s ice cream unit is part of the HUL business for the fiscal year 2024 and has since been developed and will be listed as Kwality Wall’s (India) Ltd.
Veterans in an industry
Britannia Industries appointed Kohli as executive director and CEO in September 2022 and reported to its vice chairman and managing director Varun Berry. Britannia’s operating revenue station ₹16,186.08 million fiscal year 2023-24.
Kohli has held many senior leadership positions over her 25-year career and has worked with Asian Paint and Coca-Cola. He joined Britannia Industries from Jubilant Foodworks Ltd, which operates the pizza chain Domino’s in India, where he served as president and chief commercial officer.
Hul has seen a series of appointments since 2023. It appoints Rohit Jawa as Managing Director and CEO, effective June 27, 2023. That year, it also appointed Harman Dhillon as executive director of its Department of Beauty and Welfare. In June 2024, Arun Neelakantan was appointed Executive Director of Client Development.
