On Saturday, a train near Musalamada Railway Station cut off 13 cows. The incident occurred near the Meinkad Dam in the morning when the Chennai-Palakkad Express (22651) train hit a cow on the track on the Palakkad-Pollachi route.
Railway officials said that even if the train was bragging, cows could not be moved out of the track because their front legs were tied to their necks. After the body and its parts were removed, the train resumed its journey.
The railway has begun an investigation into the incident. Officials said they were asking those who had the cattle on the track.
