Rain in Mumbai: Rain, thunderstorm and strong winds in Maharashtra, with the IMD sending weather alerts

Mumbai will be relieved from the Heat on Friday as the Indian Meteorological Ministry predicts rainfall and thunderstorms in Maharashtra. IMD has also issued a weather warning for the state, which is likely to cause gusts and hail on Saturday as well.

Predictions predict the scattered light to moderate rainfall and to reach 40-50 km/h speeds accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusts. The weather is expected to affect the southern Indian peninsula, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, northeastern India and Maharashtra, with the highest temperatures rising next week.

With rainfall, the weather forecast that the maximum temperature across Maharashtra gradually rose by 3-4°C over the next seven days.
