Congress carried out a harsh attack on the BJP-led administration’s handling of Operation Sindor, which Congress said on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) “Salute to our troops, rather than weakening their troops through diplomatic loopholes, bad intelligence management and misplaced priorities”. This is what the BJP said in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi that the opposition leader was accusing.

Pawan Khera, head of the Congressional media and propaganda department, accused the BJP of “a staggering act of immaturity and recklessness” while the country unites in grief and solidarity.

Mr Khera said in an article on X: “They did not show responsibility and politicians, but retreated behind the blank courage and transfer strategies. As a responsible opposition, we have always stood firmly with our armed forces without any compromise, but when the government was sworn in, we would not remain silent, he would not remain silent, he added, which was his protection.

“Premature disclosure”

Congress leader reiterated Gandhi’s previous allegations against Sindor, asking: “Why is the BJP government eager to inform Pakistan of the operation, even before warning us of civilians in border areas such as Ponich?” He also asked whether horror masterminds like Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed escaped due to “premature disclosure.”

The keen response of Congress was to share a computer-generated split image of Mr. Gandhi and Pakistan’s Chief President Asim Munir, following Amit Malviya, who was in charge of party IT cell in BJP.

“When we ask these tough questions, the BJP calls us anti-national, but the real betrayal makes Pakistan’s life make India’s life and escape the truth,” Khera said.

He added: “We once again requested the Prime Minister to convene a full-party meeting and a special session of the parliament, so the government was forced to put the whole truth before the country.”
