Swayam Plus is an initiative of the Indian Institute of Technology – Madras offers free AI courses for students and working professionals.
These courses are open to disciplines outside engineering, including arts, science, and business. The last date for applying for these courses is May 12. The course duration can be within 25 to 45 hours.
Dean R. Sarathy, Swayam Plus coordinator, said the courses are aligned with the national credit framework and can be used as credit programs by higher education institutions in the upcoming academic calendar.
These courses are designed to give AI access to students from subjects such as arts, science, and business.
The physics course implements fundamental concepts through AI tools to explore machine learning and neural networks to solve real-world physics problems, including hands-on labs and interactive applications.
The Chemistry course will introduce students to apply AI tools, from predicting molecular structures to modeling chemical reactions using real-world datasets (Python and SQL).
