IMD forecasts higher than normal rainfall during southwestern monsoon

According to the forecasts of the Indian Meteorological Department, Andhra Pradesh will see the above normal rainfall during the southwest monsoon.

The previous year, the state also recorded 21% rainfall between June 1 and September 30. Except for 10 areas, additional rainfall was recorded in other areas, according to information from IMD Amaravati.

Currently, due to discontinuities in the wind, the state receives isolated rainwater and thunderstorms during peak April’s summer, reducing heat to the people.

On Wednesday, April 16, the highest temperatures at all sites in IMD were 40 degrees Celsius except Kadapa and Anantapur. IMD predicts that as of April 20, due to different troughs, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and storms.
