IMD predicts heavy rain in Karnataka on May 14

Several areas in the state may receive rain in the next few days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy rain along the coast, northern and southern Karnataka on May 14.
According to IMD’s predictions, heavy rain and thunder therapy may occur in one or two places in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada. In northern Karnataka, heavy rain and winds with gusts (50 to 60 kmph) may occur in the Bellagave, Dhawad, Gardag and Haveri regions. Similarly, in southern Karnataka, heavy rain and gusts of wind can occur in Balari, Sharajanagar, Chitradurga, Hassan and Tamakuru.
Most places in the Bangalore (rural), Bangalore (Urban), Chickballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, Kodagu, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga and Vijayanagara areas will receive mild rainwater, compared to Gusty kmphs (50 kmphs),
IMD predicts rainfall from coastal, north and south Karnataka from May 15 to 19.
“Part of the evening cloudy sky usually becomes cloudy. Moderate rain, thunder treatment is accompanied by a possibility of gusts (wind speeds 40-50) kmph. The maximum and lowest temperatures are likely to be around 33°C and 21°C, respectively,” the city and community forecast said.
IMD also predicts that the highest temperature trend in Karnataka will drop in the next five days without major changes.
On Tuesday, heavy showers slammed Bengaluru, the city of Bangalore and HAL stations recorded 30.2 mm and 22.8 mm of rainfall until 5.30 pm
On Monday, strong winds and rains in Bangalore caused severe damage in several urban areas, causing large numbers of trees and branches to fall. According to data released by the BBMP for a period of time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., a total of 27 complaints under the tree and 94 branch complaints were received from eight areas.
The hardest hit area was East Bengaluru, where four fallen trees and 32 fallen branches were reported. Among them, so far, only two trees and 12 branches complaints have been resolved.
South Bangalore has seven trees and 16 branches complaints, while Bommanahalli has registered six trees and 17 branches complaints. Mahadevapura and RR Nagar also found many problems.
Regional reports such as Dasarahalli have not occurred, highlighting the distribution of uneven effects of rainwater.
Overall, city authorities have managed to clear 19 cases of tree collapse and 55 branches fall, while 8 trees and 39 branches complaints are still being processed. The Citizens Team is continuing to clean up operations in affected areas to return to normalcy.
