IMD sends heavy rain alerts to multiple parts of India until May 24

According to the IMD release, heavy rain to very heavy rain may occur in northeast India, western Simimalayan in Bangladesh and Sikkim in the next 5-6 days. The area is expected to experience a considerable widespread sight, with a moderate rainfall during the same period.

IMD also warned of wind speeds of 50-60 kmph, with gusts of 70 km across Konkan and Goa from May 20 to 23, Madhya Maharashtra from May 18 to 20 and 23, and Marathawada from May 18 to 20 and 23, and May 18 to 20.
