Implementing relief of Rs 7 lakh for suicide farmers: Human Resources Management

Visakhapatnam: The Human Rights Forum (HRF), Rythu Swarajya Vedika (RSV) and the BC Welfare Association (BCWA) have called on the Andhra Pradesh government to immediately end bureaucracy in order to implement bureaucracy43. This government orders a return of human homes to the poor, and the government orders financial compensation for the compensation shares to pay their own family with the family of the farmers.

The three organizations demanded the action to be implemented after visiting the Peddhakhojiria village in Kanchili Mandal, Srikakulam district on Friday. They met Neelaveni, his son Praveen’s wife Neelaveni, and other farmers, deeply affected by the ongoing crisis in the Uddhanam district of Srikakulam district.

Narasimha Murthy, 58, cultivated cashews and coconuts on his acre and leased an additional eight acres for it. He borrowed money at high interest rates because he could not get institutional credit. However, insufficient rainfall and pests damaged his crops, leaving him in serious debt.

When the donor exerted interest payments to him, the farmer committed suicide by eating pesticides on April 9.

Human Resource Management, RSV and BCWA members say that according to GO 43, a three-person zoning verification committee led by RDO should visit the village within one week after the incident to make appropriate inquiries and submit their findings.

However, neither the committee nor any team led by the MRO made any visits. This official indifferent inquiry denies compensation from Narasimha Murthy’s family. Representatives of the three organizations said the negligence was particularly shocking, as the village was located in AP Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu.
