Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Thailand on Thursday for a two-day visit to attend the sixth Bimstec (Bangladesh Bay Multi-Section Technology and Economic Cooperation) summit. During this visit, he will hold talks with Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
Prime Minister Modi was received by Prime Minister and Transport Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit, who brought to social media platform X and posted his arrival in Bangkok, Thailand.
He also wrote: “Looking forward to attending the upcoming formal meeting and promoting cooperation between India and Thailand.”

MEA spokesman Randhir Jaiswal released on X, with PM Modi officially landing in Bangkok.
He wrote in his post: “He was warmly accepted by Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport.
He added: “Extensive discussions with Paetongtarn Shinawatra @Inseshin and the 6th Bimstec Summit are on the front.”

Additionally, the Prime Minister’s Office on X released that members of the Thai Indian community welcomed PM Modi during their visit and shared some glimpses.

On Thursday night, Prime Minister Modi will join Bimstec leaders from Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka to monitor the signing of the maritime cooperation agreement.
