In the afternoon, Shehbaz praised Pak army for skipping ceasefire violations in national address

New Delhi: Pakistan quickly violated the ceasefire hours after India and Pakistan agreed to the ceasefire, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif not mentioning the violation in his speech on Saturday night.
Sharif praised the Pakistani armed forces for their professional and historic response to Indian military operations, calling it national pride. Although he did not name Army Chief Asim Munir, he repeatedly praised the military as “revenge that made history.”
He also thanked U.S. President Donald Trump and recognized support from the United Kingdom, Qatar, Turkuy, Saudi Arabia and especially China. He said: “Thank you very much to China.”
Sharif called the Pahargam terrorist attack a “excusation” and blamed India for launching an unprovoked strike and accused it of targeting civilians and religious sites.
He also criticized Indian media but avoided mentions of Pakistan’s ceasefire violations or ongoing drone and launch incidents reported after the agreement.
